YOUR FOS IS OUR MISSION

For thousands of years humans produced only natural fabrics
from animals or plant-based fibers, to get through and survive from all the different weather conditions.

The warmth of wool, the feel of cotton, the characteristics of linen and
the beauty of silk are some of the qualities that are still highly desired.

Natural fabrics have numerous benefits (and a lower enviromental impact)
than synthetic ones as they require less energy for their production and they are biodegradable.
They are breathable due to high absorbency of moisture and they have thermal and insulating properties.
They are simply healthier to your body and skin and this is why for example wool and silk can be worn all seasons, and we encourage you to do so because our purpose is whatever you buy from us needs to always work now and in the future.

We undeniably choose NOT to use synthetic fabrics which are made from petrochemicals. Petrochemicals are chemical products derived from petroleum aka plastic. Yes they are plastic!
This is an uncoditional promise to you and to ourselves to only use natural fabrics as we want to give you the best possible quality.
We want to give you a healthier choise.
We don’t want you to wear plastic!

SILK

The finest one

The production of silk originated in China around 6,000 years ago, when the Chinese held the monopoly of worldwide production for years. One of the most interesting characteristics of silk is strength. This strength comes from the length of the fibers as the mulberry silkworm can make a very long and continuous thread while cotton and linen are made from short plant fibers that are spun together to make them long. A thin but at the same time good insulator fabric that maintains your body temperature and helps you feel cool in hot weather and warm in the cold. Compared to other textiles like cotton, silk absorbs less moisture from your skin and has hypoallergenic and antimicrobial properties.

WOOL

The thermo-regulator

The story of wool begins in ancient Mesopotamia during the Stone Age around 10,000 years ago. Wool is one of the most naturally breathable fibers that can absorb large quantities of moisture vapor and move it away to evaporate into the air. It absorbs the odor molecules from sweat, which are only released upon washing. In contrast to synthetics, wool is an active and highly adaptable fiber that has the ability to regulate body temperatures and that means it helps you stay warm when the weather is cold, and cool when the weather is hot. Alongside its other natural performance properties, wool has antimicrobial and antibacterial qualities and it absorbs UV radiation more effectively than other fabrics.

COTTON FLOWER

The breathable one

Cotton is one of the most commonly used types of fabrics in the world. It is derived from the fibers surrounding the seeds of cotton plants, which emerge in a round, fluffy formation once the seeds are mature. A breathable, durable and versatile fabric is the best choice for making clothing, towels, home textiles and medical supplies. Cotton has a long history around the world. and approximately 75 percent of the world’s clothing products contain at least some amount of cotton.

LINEN

The oldest & most durable one

Linen is one of the oldest fabrics made by man. Its origins go back to ancient Egypt and dates around 10,000 years ago.
Linen is an airy and light-weight natural fabric made from the fibers of the Flax plant or more accurately, from the cellulose fibres that grow inside of the stalks of the Flax plant (in Latin – linum, and the earlier Greek λινόν – linon). It is one of the strongest, durable and long lasting fibers that gets stronger when wet. Linen ventilates and insulates well and has antibacterial characteristics. It is well known for its high absorbency and its ability to wick sweat. A thermo-regulating fabric, ideal for high temperatures to keep you cool in the summer.
